The Certification Programme and training courses are carried out in cooperation with IPS at UNWE, Institute for Municipal Clerks Education – Sofia, Bulgaria, Public Administration Association – Sofia, Bulgaria, Bulgarian Association of Municipal Clerks, Law faculty of the South-west University Neofit Rilski – Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, and Maritza Regional Association of Municipalities – Haskovo, Bulgaria.

Participation in the courses organised by CIMCCEE gives you:

• The opportunity to learn the latest in theory and practice with regards to the work of the municipal clerks;
• The possibility to learn more about the specifics of how the local authorities in USA and the EU member-countries work;
• The chance to acquire good intercultural and communicative skills;
• Good analytical skills with regards to the processes in local authorities and municipalities’ work.

At present CIMCCEE is conducting the course “Local Administration” for qualification of municipal clerks. The training course lasts for two years and covers 19 courses with 510 hours of lectures. The first groups started its training in November 2004 and will complete its training programme in October 2006. The curriculum assures interdisciplinary professional qualification in the fields of Public Administration, Management, Public and Interpersonal Relations, International and Trans-border Cooperation.

The participants who successfully complete the Programme will receive internationally recognised certificate from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and also a professional Qualification Certificate, as stated in the legislation of Bulgaria.
